I love the outdoors. I am an active road cyclist, downhill skier, kayaker. When I'm in the mountains, I am at home. Yet, I have to admit, a week in St. Lucia at a Sandals Resort on the beach, or the Outer Banks is always welcome! Everyone needs time to take care of themselves. Without self care, we can't take care of others in our lives. They need us. We need us. So, I just do both.
I own 3 global humanitarian non-profit entities, to reach disadvantaged people in medically underserved regions of the world. As CEO it feels good. It feels right. Giving back with the skills I acquired in the past 30 years. I can't just sit back, especially now, when so many are suffering. I do what I can. It's never enough. But, you do what you can.
But, something is missing. Someone is missing. Someone to share life with. The happy. The sad. The good. The bad. Two persons, passionate for each other, who both care for the needs of others. Two persons who can depend on each other, through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, to be there to listen always, and be there unconditionally. To love with passion. To comfort with love. To wake up to a hug each morning and a warm smile. And coffee!!!
Oh yeah. The beard. Been experimenting during COVID19 lockdowns. What's your preference? Clean shaven? Beard? Mustache? I'm ambivalent. Cast your vote. Lady's choice.
Is that special person out there? I'm sure they are. Will we find each other? I hope so. Time will tell.
