I was recently asked if I was gay by a naive friend who knows I am attracted to transwomen. . .

This was my reply:

I identify myself as entirely straight because I am attracted to women, it's that simple. I believe gender is a far more complicated subject than what's between someone's legs, and yet as simple as what someone truly feels and believes they are. I am hopelessly attracted to femininity, and I believe that term is absolutely not defined by genitalia.





Please don't think that just because I'm attracted to transwomen, that I'll immediately be in love with you. I need to know WHO you are, and that's what is most important to me. I am not looking for a fetish or trophy, I am not looking for throwaway interactions or meaningless bullshit.

The physical situation is, yes, something I am attracted to sexually, but that is a tiny aspect of what I'm looking for as a whole. I want a great PERSON and WOMAN first and foremost. I want to be in each others arms and wholeheartedly and unabashedly tell you you are the most beautiful girl in the world, not because of anything other than the beauty I see inside you is shining through so brightly that I'm intoxicated by your presence.



I've already rambled enough and I don't want to go on and on about myself. This is a crazy world with too few genuine connections.
