As I write this, its just turned 10pm on the 20th of April (420 day) 2019. I’ve been on and off dating sites for four years now. Its always so hard for me to put myself out there and met people with the hope of any kind of relationship. I have Anxiety Depression and my brain seems to fight against me constantly. I use humour to disarm people and make myself more comfortable within a conversation, and it helps. I never use inappropriate jokes, never use bad language and I’m always respectful to the people I talk too. But is seems that is not enough. I like what I like and who I like and I will not apologise for it. Or for being me. I have fought to long to be this version of myself I like and can be proud of, proud to let people know me. But having said that, not just on this dating site but all (bar one) that I am a member of, its seems there are some people who feel the need to attack me for my profile picture, what I write in the bio, and how I talk to them in chat or through messaging. I haven’t reported anyone because I know how a lot of these people work. it never stops. And I am not able to continue to use these sites if this is part of the culture there. It is not healthy for my mental state.I have had some amazing conversations on these sites and I have made some amazing friends, ones I think I’ll have for a very long time. Unfortunately, no romantic or casual relationships, no hook ups, and no special someone. But sometimes it just isn’t in the cards. To all those people who I have become friends with, and anyone who wants to get to know me at all, I’ll leave this profile open and active for a couple of weeks if people visit it, especially if you stay to read this.
