I am a retired military pilot. Divorced, no children.
These days I am a writer and photographer, however, I did not say I was a successful writer but one keeps trying and occasionally there arrives a letter that says “ we really liked your ….. “ The letter usually continues “… however, at this time we do not feel we can publish your …..” “… we do wish you every success with your future endeavours. Yours etc. etc.”
So what do I do when I am not sipping champagne and partaking of canapés at some book launch. Well I walk that beach and I read the works of writers much more successful than myself. I also collect books on many diverse subjects.
Now I must confess to having one other passion, The Ballet. I love ballet. I go as often as I can. Royal Ballet, English National, Kirov, Moscow State etc.. I also like theatre of any kind especially musicals.
My preference in music is classical but not exclusively, cool jazz in a Paris bar, Andalusian Dance or a Greek Mazurka can entrance me.
Everyone says they like art and visiting galleries, well I actually do like art, Picasso, Kandinsky, Tamara de Lempicka and others. However, I do not like renaissance or religious art.
I am an enigma. A poet, a writer and a pure romantic and I have little to offer except myself and my passions. I adore dance, especially as I have already said ballet. I love music, words, art and I am touched by beautiful sunsets. An extremely sensitive, sensual person and this is at odds with my military background. I have travelled extensively but not always to places one would choose to go. My favourite destination? Paris, but only if I am with my lover, however, more often than not these days I walk the beach near my home and watch the waves erase my footprints. It is as though I have never been there but then isn't that the way it should be.
What about you. Your ethnicity, your god, your job or income are unimportant. What you must be is true to yourself.
You can see what I am and perhaps more importantly what I am not. You decide.

Seems to me that I have spent all of my life travelling, either to, or from and sometimes through someone else's life. Bus rides get longer and railway stations become colder as my journey continues. If you see me coming you will know me by my tired eyes. They are empty now but your smile could fill them for a while and perhaps give me one more place to journey from or maybe just maybe I will find a home, for home is where love resides.

Min forestilling om hvad der er sjovt er
Books are like lovers. Some will remain with you for ever, returning to you on lonely nights while others will become but a distant memory. I love books. I have read too many to choose an all time favourite but if I was to take one to a desert Island it would be Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and the one that will forever be with me is Fate is the Hunter by Ernest Gann, for I have been there.

If when you listen to beautiful music; classical or popular; a shiver descends your spine. If words in song or on a page bring goose bumps to your flesh and a moist tear to your eye. If at the theatre or cinema you can let those same tears fall and leave the auditorium with moist eyes. If you can gaze upon a red sunset or a cold winters moon and feel, really feel. If you are able to hear the music of surf - the melody of time? Do you believe in magic and fairies?
My life is defined by my sensuality. I possess little of the practicalities of the world although I do now manage to live in peace with it. I am not seeking selfish gratification but genuine love and companionship with someone with who I can share trust and all that implies. Someone who will accept me, faults and all just as I will accept them and stand by them through whatever life may bring.
