Above all else, if this ideal person ever makes me feel like I'm a burden or like I am just an option to him/her then they most certainly are not ideal. I expect my partner to have standards but if they expect from me what they are not willing to give in return then they are not ideal. A relationship should be a give and take where both people feel fulfilled and it seems that people have done what people do and added red tape all over the place.
